IPA Cross-Border Development Project to Strengthen Agriculture SME’s Capacities Kicks-Off
Project Tittle: Agricultural Standards and Certifications, Capacity Building for Absorption of Funds and Marketing Strategies to support Economic growth and Trade
Good times for farmers and agro processors initiatives on both sides of Dibra. Creative Business Solutions, CBS, kicked-off the first EU development project under IPA cross-border program.
The kick-off meeting, which took place in Debar was the first of the consortium and set up formal steps to start implementing project activities.
The project aims to strengthen agriculture SME’s productive capacity and access to market through Certification of Food Safety Standards, Capacity Building, Grant Applications as well as developing Marketing Strategies.

Beneficiaries of the project will be around 20 agribusiness entities that will be certified with HACCP, ISO22000, Global Gap and Organic standards, which will be accompanied by a complete Marketing Plan package as well as 15 agribusinesses assisted with the full application package to Alternative Financing.
An important part of the project will be a series of trainings that will have a positive impact on increasing business knowledge about standards and information on funding opportunities for investment plans through various grants.
At closing the project envisages a B2B activity where the agricultural enterprise in both regions involved in the project will present their produced products.

The project implementations, worth 310,000 Euro, will be carried out in close cooperation with Municipalities/Agencies and the private sector in the region.
