CBS Executive Director Enio Jaco Elected President of American Chamber of Commerce in Albania

The American Chamber of Commerce in Albania organized the General Assembly Meeting that elected the new President, Secretary and two Board Members. With the majority of votes, Mr. Enio Jaço, Executive Director of Creative Business Solutions was elected President of AmCham for a 2-year mandate.

During his platform introduction, Mr. Jaco stated ‘I am proud of AmCham, which is the most effective business chamber in Albania today. It functions as a real institution with proper rules and procedures in place that would be the envy of many institutions. AmCham is also a significant force – a union of 200 more businesses with combined annual revenue of $5 Billion. AmCham is also a global network of 115 branches in more than 100 countries. I see my mission at working hard to making AmCham more effective and more influential by creating more markets for its members and building a more friendly business environment in Albania.’

In his last appearance as AmCham President Mr. Mark Crawford, presented AmCham financial status and achievements and AmCham Business Index, an annual index which measures the perception of AmCham members on business climate.

Deputy Chief of Mission in charge of US Embassy in Tirana, Mr. Daniel Koski, in his remarks emphasized the fact that the justice reform will solve many problems that businesses face and will be a crucial factor in creating a good business climate, not only for Albanian companies but also for foreign and US investors.

The American Chamber of Commerce in Albania is a private business promotion and development organization, with the mission to increase and facilitate trade between United States and Albania, promote U.S. and international investments in Albania and improve the Albanian business image in the U.S. and international markets.
