Ethics and Professionalism

Accountability, high performance and teamwork spirit are the fundamental principles, source of the high professional standards of CBS. Team approach to everything, honesty and transparency, integrity in every situation, creativity in every idea, commitment and accountability in every action. Based on these values, the CBS team work is a successful professional model. Each employee should respect the Code of Professional Ethics of CBS, abiding by the following principles.

Confidentiality. Personal information about the clients and documents of CBS is treated as confidential. Employees may not share out the CBS internal correspondence with third parties.

Non-Discrimination. Each CBS employee, while performing duty through actions or non-actions, should not prefer or discriminate towards an entity because of its gender, race, color, ethnicity, language, gender identity, sexual orientation, political, religious and philosophical belief, economic, educational and social situation, pregnancy, parental situation and parenthood, age, family and marital status, residence, health, genetics, disability, special group affiliation, and/or any similar cause.

Conflict of Interest. CBS staff member is compelled to prevent and take all necessary measures to disengage from the conflict of interest between his/her duty in CBS and private interests.
CBS employees in the exercise of its daily work activity, is restricted to:

  • Accept money, gifts or personal favors from clients or donors CBS
  • Ask, receive, accept directly or not, valuables or services as a compensation for promise employment or for his individual or collegial decision-making
  • Ask or accept bribe or bribe promise for decisions taken while exercising his/her function in CBS
  • Misuse authorizations or delegations which derive from his/her officiating
  • Influence the decision of any official or institution for personal material benefit or for the benefit of next of kin or people connected to them
  • Take decisions or actions which benefit or favor his/her personal interest, or those of his/her next of kin or people connected to them

Environmental Policy

CBS’s environmental management system applies to all operations and services of the organization at its head office and branches. Staff in all our offices in Albania are expected to comply with the spirit of this policy in the context of the office in which they work.

We are committed to providing a quality service in a manner that ensures a safe and healthy workplace for our employees and minimizes our potential impact on the environment. We will operate in compliance with all relevant environmental legislation and we will strive to use pollution prevention and environmental best practices in all we do.

Environmental principles:

1) Protecting the Environment
We aim to reduce and make continual progress towards eliminating the release of substances that causes environmental damage to the air, water or the earth.

2) Sustainable Use of Natural Resources
Where possible we will make sustainable use of renewable and natural resources and avoid environmentally harmful materials. We aim to reduce waste through safe and responsible methods including where possible reduction and recycling.

3) Green Energy - Conservation, energy efficiency and clean energy
We will conserve energy and improve the energy efficiency of our internal operations. We will make every effort to use environmentally safe and sustainable energy sources and will promote these practices with our partners.

4) Informing the Public
We will make efforts to inform the public about the benefits of environmentally friendly practices and educate about damages of harmful environment practices. Our environmental commitments will be announced publically and connected with our CSR policies.

5) Promoting Green Practices
We will promote environmentally friendly and green energy practices and investments through CBS services to our clients.

6) Management Commitment
We will implement the environmental principles and sustain a process that ensures that the Chief Executive Officer is fully informed and responsible for environmental policy. When selecting Board Members we will consider their approach to environment.

7) Measure and Continue to Improve
We will conduct an annual measurement and report of our progress along with an internal audit. We will regularly review and access our environmental progress and reset goals for further improvements. Our environmental progress will be presented into our Annual Report.
